BIO: The Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is an English football club based in Tottenham, London. The spurs as they are fondly called is a club that plays in the Premier league. The club was founded in 1882. They won their first FA Cup in 1901, making it the only non-League club to do so since the formation of the Football League. they were the first club to achieve the League and FA Cup Double, winning both competitions in the 1960–61 season. In 1967 it won the FA Cup for a third time in the 1960s. The Spurs won the League Cup on two occasions in the 1970s and was the winner of the UEFA Cup in 1972. In doing so they became the the first British club to win two different major European trophies. They went onto win many more plaudits and titles. In the 1980s Spurs won several trophies: the FA Cup twice, FA Community Shield and the UEFA Cup in 1984. The following decade the club won the FA Cup and the League Cup. They aslo won the league Cup in 2008.   Their play their home matches in White Hart Lane.. The club's motto is Audere est Facere which translated means "To Dare Is to Do". They have the symbol of a cockerel standing upon a football. Some of it's prolific players are: Clint Dempsey, Michael Dawson, Kyle Walker, Jermain Defoe, Steven Caulker, Gareth Bale, William Gallas etc.
