After what seems like the longest wait, the latest season of the much awaited International Premier Tennis League is here! With four teams in the last season, including the Philippine Mavericks, Indian Aces, UAE Royals and Singapore Slammers, the league is going to be a ripper of a contest.

However, this year will also see the addition of another team to the league's roster – the Japan Warriors. With players like Maria Sharapova and Kei Nishikori among its ranks, the team is a strong side with experience and young talent. Created by Indian tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi, the International Premier Tennis League has been a massive success, both domestically and around the world.

The new season of the International Premier Tennis League will see many modern tennis legends on court, including big names like Serena Williams, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Maria Sharapova, Sania Mirza, and many more.

Sharapova and Leander Paes will be with the Japan Warriors, Roger Federer with the UAE Royals, Serena Williams with the Mavericks, Rafael Nadal with the Indian Aces and Novak Djokovic part of the Singapore Slammers.

While the rest of the teams prepare for the upcoming clashes, the Singapore Slammers seem determined to prove their detractors wrong. With world-class players like Novak “The Joker” Djokovic, Nick Kyrgios, Marcelo Melo, Belinda Bencic, Karolina Pliskova and Carlos Moya, the team is definitely well equipped to deal with the other sides in the league. Their biggest strength lies with Novak Djokovic, who is riding high on his recent successes.

The last season saw Kyrgios's side finish with 24 points in last place, this season should be a challenge for them, including Kyrgios, who will look to prove himself in the upcoming matches. While fans of Djokovic have already pegged the team as contenders for the finals, the Slammers must realize that they cannot rely on him so much and expect him to perform at his fullest.

Another surprise in the International Premier Tennis League this year is the stellar match that everyone is excited about – Rafael Nadal versus Roger Federer. In a battle that only comes a few times in years, the match-up is a dream for any tennis fan. As excited as we are for the IPTL, we cannot wait to see all the tennis action unfold. The IPTL will kick off in December 2015, and we can only count the days and tick them off our calendars!
