Sania Mirza and her partner Cara Black of Zimbabwe have claimed the doubles title at the WTA Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo. In the final they overcame the stiff challenge of Hao-Ching Chan and Liezel Huber by the score 4-6, 6-0, 11-9.

The match lasted for 1 hour and 25 minutes.

After losing the first set Sania and Cara made a strong comeback and sealed the second set quite easily. In the third set they saved two match points before finally wrapping up the tie.

Sania and Black fired 4 aces throughout the match and won all the break points they earned. They also saved 5 out of 9 break points that they faced.

This was the first tournament victory for Sania and Black as double partners.

In the singles event of the tournament, Petra Kvitova defeated Angelique Kerber 6-2, 0-6, 6-3. This was the 11th WTA title for Kvitova in her career and second this year.
