VIDEO: Tennis and jelly in super-slow motion

Tennis Jelly
Tennis like you’ve never seen it before: in super slo-mo

We’ve all watched and heard and read about the incredible precision behind every shot professional tennis players play. Angling the racquet a certain way could have brilliant results; they could also be disastrous.

Shots are often played and replayed in slow motion, taken apart, and analysed repeatedly until there is nothing left to analyse; this is especially funny as some of these shots are incredibly intuitive for the players playing them.

The immense amount of pressure on the player is paralleled only by that on the poor flourescent ball being volleyed and hit across the court. Have you ever wondered what that pressure really looks like?

British YouTube stars Dan and Gavin, who call themselves the ‘Slow-Mo Guys’, have dedicated their channel to showing processes in slow motion that most people would not even think of.

The pair set jelly in different colours, and then hit it as one would a tennis ball.. and the results are beautiful.
