Roger Federer celebrates his win over Roberto Bautista Agut in the fourth round

Roger Federer was in imperious form as he beat Roberto Bautista Agut 6-2, 6-2, 6-3 to advance to the quarterfinals.

Federer broke Agut’s serve in the fifth and seventh games of the first set to win it in 19 minutes. The 7-time champion won 91% of his first serve points including seven out of ten points near the net. The Swiss committed just two unforced errors in what was a flawless first set.

Agut was broken in the first game of the second before he called on the trainer to treat his ankle. After another break and 12 winners later, Federer lead two sets to love. The Spaniard was claerly outplayed by the genius of Federer.

Federer attacked Agut’s serve early in the third set and broke the Spaniard’s serve twice. The No. 2 seed won 100% of points on his first serve in the third set and hit 16 winners.

Federer has won all three matches against Agut thus far.

Federer will face Gilles Simon in the quarterfinals on Wednesday. The Frenchman beat Tomas Berdych 6-3, 6-3, 6-2 earlier today.
