FULL-TIME!!! Gareth Bale again 'Bales' out Real Madrid in an absolutely vital 1-0 win. Madrid looked far from their best but one goal was all they needed as they defeated a tough Sociedad who did well to keep Madrid out for most of the match before conceding. The home side did not go without their own chances, but failed to break through and Madrid will now hope Barcelona and Atletico slip up as they go to the top of the table for the time being.

90+2': Sociedad have a final chance to whip the ball into the box from a freekick, but the ball is cleared.

91': A lovely ball is floated into the box and reaches the head of Sociedad who head the ball hard towards the corner but Navas is there to save! The game is just about over.

79': GOAL!!! A cross into the box from Vasquez reaches Gareth Bale who FINALLY manages to head the ball over the keeper and into the top right corner. It wasn't an easy chance but the Welshman capitalised after several similar chances. Great goal which will see Zinedine Zidane relieved.

HALF-TIME! Its been a good game so far with several chances from Real Madrid in the air, but they have failed to take advantage. Sociedad have also had the occasional chance and have exposed Madrid's shakey defence on several occasions. It could go either way in the second half.
