Southampton have made a £7m bid for Celtic's 24-year-old central defender Virgil van Dijk, who has also been linked with Arsenal and Manchester United.

Middlesbrough midfielder Lee Tomlin could be on his way to Premier League newcomers Bournemouth, the Gazette reports. The paper says the Cherries have agreed to pay an initial fee of £3 million, with add-on clauses of up to another £500,000.
