About Cincinnati Open 2023

About

Cincinnati Open, popularly known as Cincinnati Masters, is a hardcourt tennis tournament. The annual event is branded as the Western & Southern Open for sponsorship reasons and commenced on September 18, 1899, and remains the oldest tennis tournament in the USA in its original city. In August 2008, the men’s tournament was sold to the United States Tennis Association before which in 2002 it was sponsored by Western & Southern Financial Group. The sponsorship lasted till 2016. The tournament is combined with both ATP and WTA.

It is believed that Cincinnati Open allows a large number of player-fan interactions as this tournament is smaller than the grand event US Open. Here the crowds can look at players close and it's always easy to have a picture or an autograph.
