Nepal National Club Volleyball League from 31st March

The second edition of Nepal National Men’s and Women’s Club League Volleyball Championship is scheduled to start from March 31, 2014 at the covered hall of National Sports Council in Nepal’s capital city of Kathmandu.

A total of 17 teams, including six teams in women, will be participating in the three-day National club tournament. Men’s participating teams include Nepal Police Club, Nepal APF Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, University Team, Jawalakhel Youth Club, Dhorpatan Sports Club and The Western Region. Likewise, only University Team is not participating in the women´s category.

The winner in both categories will walk away with cash prize of NRs 150,000 while the 1st runner-up will get NRs 75,000 and second runner-up will receive NRs 40,000 respectively. Likewise best male and female player of the tournament will receive NRs 15,000 each while best lifter, server, libero, blocker and spiker in both men’s and women’s categories will get NRs 5,000 each.

As per the organizer, Nepal Volleyball Association, prolific performers at the championships will be called up to the national squad.
