- Bret Hart says Punk is Inspirational to all Wrestlers: WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart spoke with Arda Ocal of The Score while attending The Canadian Comedy Awards. Hart was asked about C.M. Punk introducing pink and black attire at SummerSlam in Hart’s honor. “Me and Punk are pretty good friends and I know that he spent a lot of his childhood watching me and maybe emulating me and the wrestlers from my era. I think today he’s obviously one of the best wrestlers in the world because he’s been so smart in how he’s sort of carefully constructed his character with limitations he has. He’s not the biggest guy in the world.

He’s been able to take what he’s got, and if anything he’s an inspiration to every wrestler out there – if you have the right heart and the will and you keep going and keep going no matter what obstacle you run into whether it’s the promotion or other wrestlers or whatever. He seems to have overcome so many obstacles to get to where he is and he seems to be holding it all pretty well too.”
