NJPW News: Hiroshi Tanahashi injured, pulled from Dominion

Hiroshi Tanahashi to be withdrawn from June 19th Dominion show

New Japan Pro Wrestling star Hiroshi Tanahashi has been battling a shoulder injury for some time now and has been withdrawn from the upcoming Dominion show because of the same.

With Shinsuka Nakamura, Doc Anderson, Luke Gallows, Aj Styles and Kota Ibushi all leaving the company off late, Tanahashi has been required to perform through injury, postponing plans of taking time off to heal up his shoulder.

But the injury that he sustained earlier this year has worsened to such an extent that Tanahashi was noted remarking how he wasn’t even able to lift a water bottle, Wrestlinginc reports.

Tanahashi apparently had to decide between appearing at G1 Climax or at Dominion on June 19th , where he was scheduled to face IWGP Intercontinental Champion Kenny Omega in a ladder match.

But as things stand, the decision has been taken to pull Tanahashi from the Dominion card with a view to better be safe, than sorry.
