5 Expected Storylines after the Survivor Series

Big plans in the background

The WWE universe is head over heels excited about the twists that are expected to happen at the Survivor Series. And from the history of the prestigious pay-per-view, one cannot blame the fans either. Such marquee events promise to produce business changing plot changes and inception of new storylines. After the conclusion of the PPV, the WWE landscape would see a major change as many superstars are lined up for big pushes post November. it might be hard to predict what will turn around after Survivor Series but here’s a look at the five most possible storylines that could be kicked off after the pay-per-view.

Big plans in the backstage

Reincarnation of Miz as a heel

Will the new role help?

Will the new role help?

After spending several months wandering around the company as generic face with less relevance, Miz finally gave us something to look forward when he turned heel. His new era is all set to start at the Survivor Series where he’ll go up against Kofi Kingston. But it would only be a start of bigger things to come. The WWE is obviously looking to reincarnate him as a title contender and would be looking to build some momentum before the eventual jump. Miz would be seen having some feuds with the main aim being him substantiating the heel turn. Rey Mysterio looks like the first one who could be involved as Rey would be left without a credible storyline after the Survivor Series.

Big E Langston’s title reign

Potential main eventer

Potential main eventer

Langston is turning out to be an answer for the WWE’s long search for a potential main event level African-American babyface. Giving the Intercontinental championship to the big guy was just the inception of the big push that is brewing in the background. Langston is supported by a string of backstage workers and wrestlers with the most notable being John Cena. After burying Curtis Axel at Survivor Series, Langston might be pitted up against more baddies to make him look good and give him a chance to win the fans over completely. He is definitely a superstar to watch out after the pay-per-view because he will be seen dominating his opponents every time he is out there till he’s finally ready to main event the shows.

Kane bursting out of the cocoon suit

Waiting to be unleashed

Waiting to be unleashed

Kane’s role as the office guy of Triple H looked awesome at the start but failed to materialize due to the lack of his physical presence. The WWE creative would be well aware of the situation and will be laying out the plans to eventually make him burst into the Kane that we loved. He could either go after Big Show and do the dirty work for his COO or could turn against the authority and bite back, giving Triple H a chaotic headache to deal with. The first will be more likely to happen though the second seems to be much interesting. Another possibility is a feud with Randy Orton who has been in the face of Authority for some time but that would result in another turn for Orton, which makes it the least likely storyline to happen. However, one thing is sure that the Big Red Machine is all set to make his in-ring return sooner or later after the Survivor Series.

Roman Reigns and his journey to become the face of WWE

Has the looks , has the skills

Has the looks , has the skills

His baby face turn is one of the most anticipated WWE storylines of the year among the internet fan base. The WWE creative recently discovered that he has the looks and skills to be the face of the company, and as a cherry on top he has a certain cousin who used to be in that tag for a long time. His eventual turn was boosted with a small teaser couple of weeks back at Raw when he made Randy Orton silent, that is he made the “top heel” of the company mum, and WWE wouldn’t want to give such a trait to some random wrestler which drops clear hint about their plans for Reigns. There are also suggesting that the Shield would be kept intact even if Reigns breaks off with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins recruiting a third member from NXT. If the WWE has more plans for the trio, then the Reigns would have to wait some more time for his push but at the current landscape, the sooner the better.

The heel trio showdown

The sooner the better

The sooner the better

It would be interesting to see if the Wyatt family would continue their pursuit of Daniel Bryan and CM Punk, if they don’t then gear up for an epic showdown that has been teased to the core for past couple of weeks. The Shield would be left with no real storyline after their traditional match at Survivor Series and there won’t be any better way to book them than a feud with the Wyatt Family. The two stables have been terrorizing their opponents and captivating the fans whenever they are on Television. And a big bang between the two teams would make TLC look like SummerSlam in December. It could also well go hand in hand with the Roman Reigns face push as he would get an ideal stage against the creepy guys. If it happens the fans will be set on a rollercoaster ride in which they will see the future face of the company going up against the future top heel. In short Reigns against Bray Wyatt could be a potential WrestleMania main event that could materialize in the years to come. For now we have to settle for the stable feud, but that won’t be bad in anyway either.
