5 people the WWE might release soon

Who could be next?

Nobody is safe within the WWE. That statement couldn’t be truer with some of the shocks of the last few months. Superstars such as Damien Sandow and Bad News Barrett (although he asked for his release) were both released from the company back in spring.

We reported recently about another batch of WWE employees being shown the door imminently. It sometimes baffles people Why the WWE releases certain talents and sometimes it feels as though it’s like they have wasted opportunities but when the final decision is made it is almost as if Vince won’t change his mind.

With all that being said, who could be on WWE’s radar to evict from the company next?

#5 Rosa Mendes

Is her time almost up?

During the mid-2000s, the company was in the hunt for attractive females, regardless of their in-ring talent and Rosa Mendes fit that bill. As a big time model, she didn’t have experience in the ring, but her looks alone got her a contract with the WWE.

After training for two years in Ohio Valley Wrestling, Mendes made her debut on the main roster back in 2008. However, her struggles were apparent, as she spent time between the road and Florida Championship Wrestling to continue to hone her skills.

While she was originally brought on as a wrestler, Mendes was never a part of any major storylines. She has recently had a baby and her only main role within the WWE at present seems to be as part of the Total Diva cast. The WWE might not see much point in keep her under contract.

#4 Alberto Del Rio

Is he worth the money?

This is a bit of an odd one to have on here considering Del Rio isn’t even back a year in the WWE. It has to be noted though that Del Rio has done almost nothing since returning to the WWE. He is being payed a massive contract and it doesn’t seem that the WWE are getting much out of it.

With the brand split coming it may change things for him but as of now it doesn’t seem like he is worth the money the WWE are paying for him and they may simply give up on him.

#3 Tyson Kidd

Is it all over for Tyson Kidd?

As Tyson Kidd rehabs from a spinal/neck injury that he suffered last June, the former WWE Tag Team Champion may never wrestle again since the WWE is rumored to be reluctant to clear him.

A few months ago the legendary Daniel Bryan was forced to retire from in-ring competition since his issues with concussions never got better. Despite receiving medical clearance from several doctors, the most recent concussion test revealed the damage to his brain was more severe than originally thought.

With such a serious injury behind him, will the WWE doctors clear him? They may never give him the green light and he could be the next person to join the released list for the WWE.

#2 Tamina Snuka

Will she last?

While Tamina Snuka was a part of the Divas Revolution storyline as one-third of Team B.A.D, she was undoubtedly the least used and polished wrestler out of the bunch. While the creative team has tried to push her time and time again, her lack of in-ring skills have hurt her over the years.

During her career she had found her way into the WWE Divas Championship picture, Tamina’s size and intimidating look made her look like a future title holder. Unfortunately, her underwhelming wrestling skills hurt her chances, and she instead ended up becoming a body guard for the then champion AJ Lee.

Tamina hasn’t been seen much on WWE T.V. and it looks as though creative have nothing for her. This could easily send her on the same road it has sent many other superstars, the road to being released.

#1 Ryback

It’s only a matter of time

During an episode of Raw Ryback earlier this year, Ryback was sent home over a contract dispute he had with Vince. Ryback seemed to have been sick of his position on the card and even after he was sent home he had some strong words to say about the WWE. He was tired being paid less for his position on the card while others were making more money than him.

As of now Ryback’s contract is set to expire soon and it doesn’t look as though the WWE are looking to bring the “Big Guy” back into the fold. WWE seem to be just happy to let the time run out and be done with Ryback for good.
