5 Tag Teams from other promotions that should come to WWE in 2017

WWE Universe should be broken

2016 is in the books and WWE fans would be stepping into 2017 with high hopes for the promotion. Despite the negativity that has been spewed around, WWE made some great strides throughout the year, and a department that excelled was the tag team division.

New Day became the longest reigning tag team champions by overcoming the long-standing record of Demolition and the brand split also brought some of the limelight on the tag team divisions of both brands.

But as they say, there is always room for improvement. With WWE currently on a signing spree, it could sign up certain tag teams next year in order to make tag team wrestling more entertaining in the promotion. In this list, we are going to take a look at some of those teams that WWE could sign.

#5 Motor city Machine Guns

Time to come on board

Motor City Machine Guns is one of those teams that went on to excel in numerous promotions. The most notable stay from the team was in TNA, where they held the Tag team championship once. Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin would go on to find similar success in New Japan Pro Wrestling as well.

While the number of title reigns might not tell the complete story, observing one of their matches would give us an idea why WWE should sign the team. The tag team division of WWE could use the experience that these two bring to the table and as for them; it’s about time that they got a bigger platform to showcase their skills.

#4 The Addiction

Experience matters

Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian are two wrestlers that barely showcased their talent in WWE. Both Daniels and Kazarian had been major attractions for TNA sometime back and now, out of TNA, they are making waves as a Tag team as well. Age would be a major factor for these two when the possibility of signing with WWE pokes up.

Kazarian is stepping into 40’s whereas Daniels is midway through it. But the wealth of experience that these two would bring will be unmatched. There are a lot of things that the current crop of tag team talent in WWE could pick up from these two, and a potential future role with the company also makes it a good move for the duo.

#3 Briscoe Brothers

Has achieved everything in ROH

A mainstay in Ring of Honor, The Briscoe Brothers has proven their worth as a tag team and as singles wrestlers over and over. The Briscoes did have a tryout in WWE back in 2009 but was turned down by the promotion.

However, seven years have gone and in this time frame, Briscoes have gone on to cement their place as one of the best tag teams in Ring of Honor history.

With nothing left in Ring of Honor for them to achieve, moving to WWE makes a lot of sense. The only problem here would be WWE trying to repackage them rather than letting them run with the characters that they have now.

#2 Young Bucks

An obvious inclusion

Where should we start? The list of reasons why WWE should sign the Young Bucks is a very long one. While anyone starting out with professional wrestling or working outside WWE would dream about getting a break into Vince McMahon’s promotion, the Young Bucks have been creating their own brand in the Independent circuit.

With solid wrestling skills and controversial characters to go with it, the Young Bucks would be must-watch television if they are not toned down by WWE. Another great possibility with Young Bucks in WWE is the reunion of The Club. Similarly, there are some exciting matches and storylines that WWE could put together with these two in the company.

#1 Broken Hardys

DELETE ! DELETE ! DELETE!

The biggest professional wrestling success story of 2016 was the Broken Hardy. Matt Hardy with his brilliant family managed to bring a tsunami of freshness into the business with his character. With TNA struggling due to ownership conflicts and financial problems, the way the Hardys gave them a platform to stand, made everyone notice.

The creative freedom that Matt has at TNA could be a major reason the angle turned out to be a huge success. And to be frank, Matt might not get such freedom if he comes over to WWE.

But as fans, we could imagine the permutations and combinations that WWE could pull off with the Hardys in the promotion. Everyone would love them to have another spell with the company.
