Born in Florida to parents of Portuguese and Venezuelan descent, Lana isn’t Russian by any means. However, she does have Soviet roots which may be what the creative team may have latched upon.

She spent the majority of her childhood in Latvia – a Soviet Union state at that time and didn’t return to the United States until she was 17 years old. She completed a major in dancing and acting from the Florida State University and has dabbled in modeling. She has been a backup dancer for some high-profile stars such as Nelly, Pink, and Akon, but her moment of reckoning came in the WWE.

There have, however, been countless instances when Lana lost her Russian accent and showed how American she actually is

No Means No!
No Means No!

Lana has tried it all. Be it modeling (which is a no-brainer), acting, dancing or singing – Lana is a jill of all trades. Out of all of her endeavors, her stint as the lead singer for a group called No Means Yes could have been her breakout moment at a tryst with fame.

The four aspiring singers of the group – Perry, Shea, Tanu and Kat managed to get signed under Ne-Yo’s record label. Wistfully, like many other failed projects, No Means Yes couldn't account for anything substantial and ended up recording one single, Would You Like That. And we assure you may not like that! Give it a listen and judge for yourself.
