Reports: Backstage talks on Sting vs Undertaker, Sting to retire in WWE

Sting appearing at Survivor Series

Sting’s debut at WWE Survivor Series on Sunday night have generated new speculations of him facing Triple H at Wrestlemania 31 after his showdown with the Game at the end of the pay-per-view.

Initially, the plan was to make Sting face The Undertaker at Wrestlemania which would be the last match of his pro-wrestling career. Reports suggest that officials were still considering that match up until this Friday. Whether the plans have changed or not is unknown as of yet but Sting vs Triple H at Wrestlemania is happening instead.

Also, Sting was originally supposed to wrestle one match at Wrestlemania but now he will reportedly be involved in a few matches mainly on the special occasions before the grandest event next year. It’s quite possible that he may wrestle before WM 31 but there hasn’t been any confirmation as of now.

This run in the WWE will be his last one before he hangs his wrestling boots after which he will eventually be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
