Dolph Ziggler becoming No.1 Contender for WWE World Heavyweight Championship came as huge shock to WWE Universe ,not because he didn't deserve it, but for the fact that he spent almost all his WWE career lost in the shuffle.
And if the reports are to believed, it could be so near yet so far for Dolph Ziggler yet again.
WWE reportedly wanted to go ahead with a Dean Ambrose versus AJ Styles feud, but AJ has unfinished business with John Cena, putting those plans on hold.
So Dolph Ziggler was chosen as a replacement, presumably to fill in for Styles while he ties up the trilogy against John Cena. Ziggler is expected to lose to Ambrose, and this would set up the feud with Styles.
For his part, Styles is expected to beat John Cena so as to write him off the storylines for the time being to film season 2 of American Grit.
