WWE Elimination Chamber 2014: 3 Promising Developments

The Wyatt Family vs The Shield

Where was Lesnar? Wasn’t he confirmed to be at the Elimination Chamber in his hometown by none other than the man who completely abused his power in the main event?

Anyway, even though the PPV wasn’t totally great, it had a few silver linings.

Here are some of the promising things to come out of it:

The Young and the Restless

The Wyatt Family vs The Shield

At this point in their career as a trio the Shield have garnered so many ‘This Is Awesome’s but the Minneapolis crowd did something unique and started chanting even before the Wyatts and The Shield stepped into the ring. This has been the most magnificent build up to any match involving more than 2 superstars. Kudos, WWE.

The Shield lost but they stood out with Rollins being the airborne slayer with so many gob smacking moments. Dean Ambrose was at his derailed best and in the end it took the better off him. Reigns was the superman clad in all black. And then there were the Wyatts- Eerie and chilling.

This was in a way reminiscent of Shield’s first ever match in the WWE at TLC 2012. But this time the tables were turned and The Shield were somehow outnumbered.

But an even bigger development is that 6 young superstars showed the WWE and its universe that the future is a marvelous place to be.

Daniel Bryan will have a Wrestlemania moment

Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan

It’s been going on since August 2013. From Summerslam to the Elimination Chamber, power has been abused and Bryan has suffered and the Yes movement seems to be getting stronger ans stronger with no saturation point to be seen.

The best thing will be to make Daiel Bryan THE champion at WM 30 and give him his rightful Wrestlemania moment. At this point a match up with Triple H doesn’t really seem relevant enough.

And to top all of that, the ‘BOOtista’ chants to Batista and the boos to Randy Orton isn’t making the title picture look spectacular. What good is a match if the spectators don’t really want to see anybody win?

AJ vs Tamina?

AJ Lee vs Tamina Snuka?

AJ Lee vs Tamina Snuka?

The only silver lining to an already derailed divas division was a sign that Tamina and AJ might just collide. AJ said that she’s beaten everyone in the lockerroom to keep her title. Tamina seems to be the only exception.

At this point the divas division needs a proper rivalry to sustain. Can this be it?
