From The WWE Rumor Mill: Seth Rollins versus Jason Jordan reportedly planned for WrestleMania

Team mates could be colliding at this year's WrestleMania

What's the story?

Jason Jordan and Seth Rollins may be the current WWE Raw Tag Team Champions, but it seems that they could be standing on opposite sides of the ring at WrestleMania in less than three months time.

In case you didn't know...

Back in 2017, it was revealed that Jason Jordan was Raw General Manager Kurt Angle's illegitimate son and he has since used this to his advantage by forcing his father's hand in a number of situations.

Jason Jordan was never supposed to be in the position that he currently is, it seems that Dean Ambrose's injury late last year caused WWE to draft in the former SmackDown Tag Team Champion to take his place.

Jordan has since been seen as a cocky new addition to The Shield, but the WWE Universe have refused to accept him as such and last night as part of Raw, Jordan was unable to deliver his promo to the WWE Universe as part of Christian's Peep Show because of how loud the crowd were booing him.

The heart of the matter

Last night as part of Raw's 25th Anniversary, Seth Rollins inadvertently knee's his partner in the head when Cesaro ducked out of the way and it seems that this was supposed to be seen as a hint to the future of the makeshift team of Jordan and Rollins.

Dave Meltzer noted on today's episode of The Wrestling Observer Radio that segment was designed to plant seeds ahead of their split in the coming months. Meltzer went on to speculate that Rollins and Jordan will drop the Championships to Cesaro and Sheamus before entering a feud with each other that could lead into WrestleMania.

What's next?

Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan defend their Raw Tag Team Championships against Cesaro and Sheamus on Sunday night at The 31st annual Royal Rumble and it will be interesting to see if Meltzer's speculation becomes a reality.

Author's take

It's hard to get excited about a match that hasn't started to build just yet, but knowing that this could have been Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins having another year stealing feud rather than Jordan versus Seth is quite painful.

Jordan has done well to step in, so this weekend will determine the direction of this feud and whether or not he will have his first WrestleMania singles match this year.
