WWE News: Further details revealed on the Jericho-Sin Cara fight

The story gets juicier

Thanks to the dirtsheets, it is now well established that Chris Jericho and Sin Cara had an altercation in WWE’s ongoing European tour some time yesterday. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter gave an account of the details of the incident.

The incident started off when Sin Cara was making annoying noises while on the tour bus. Even though people were telling him to stop, he continued anyway. Chris Jericho stepped up and forcefully told him to stop, resulting in Sin Cara telling Y2J to “f**k off”. Heated words were exchanged and Sin Cara then threw his right hand at Jericho right before everyone came in to break it up. It was reported that Jericho bit Sin Cara’s finger during the exchange.

This incident resulted in Sin Cara being kicked off the bus. Meltzer reported that one of his sources stated that Sin Cara snapped in a matter of two seconds without any warning.

We reported earlier that the claims were that Jericho was knocked out, but as noted from the prior piece, Jericho refuted those claims. Jericho even posted a cryptic Instagram video with a slight swelling noticeably under his right eye.

As seen in the video, he said that if you hear any news about him ripping someone’s face off, blame it on bath salts. It is well known that Sin Cara and Jericho have reputations of being extremely tough. Jericho most notably got into an altercation with Brock Lesnar after his Summerslam match with Randy Orton that saw Orton be elbowed into a bloody mess. Jericho spoke about it on UFC Legend Chael Sonnen’s podcast You’re Welcome, and said that the ordeal was more out of concern for his friend Randy Orton.

Sin Cara on the other hand previously got into a fight at catering with Simon Gotch in the Draft edition of Smackdown on July 19th this year. The altercation with Jericho makes it the fifth time overall that Sin Cara has gotten into a fight in WWE. He reportedly fought with Sheamus twice, Drew Mcintyre(Galloway) once, Simon Gotch, and now Chris Jericho.

WWE has not yet released a statement on the issue, and is very unlikely to do so.
