WWE news: Neville returns to action after three months

Neville accepting his Slammy Award

The former NXT Champion, Neville, made a huge impact on the main roster of WWE since his debut. His success won him the Breakout Star of the Year (2015) Slammy Award.

The growing popularity of Neville, along with his amazing in-ring skills, forced the WWE Creatives to inject him into the championship picture. He was booked for Intercontinental Championship bout at WrestleMania 32 and there were rumors which indicated that he was going to win the belt.

Unfortunately, that didn’t happen as Neville suffered an injury, weeks prior to WrestleMania. On the 14 March edition of WWE RAW, during his match with former WWE Champion Chris Jericho, he fractured his ankle. Due to this injury, Neville was sidelined from in-ring competition for three months.

Recently, Neville was cleared to wrestle and was rumored to return very soon. Dailywrestlingnews.com reports that he returned to in-ring action and wrestled a dark match before this week’s SmackDown tapings in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and defeated another former NXT Champion, Bo Dallas. The fans in attendance noted that the WWE Superstar now has a new look.

Some of the photos from Neville’s return has been provided below :

Although he worked this dark match, his official return date is yet to be confirmed. But it can be assumed that Neville will be present during WWE Draft, next week.
