John Morrison discloses his reasons for not re-signing with the WWE

Former WWE superstar John Morrison was the guest on Chris Jericho’s Talk is Jericho podcast show last week where he revealed why he never re-signed with the WWE before his contract expired.

The star of the film Hercules Reborn required time to heal up from a neck injury which he had surgery on earlier in 2011 and was urged by Triple H, John Laurinaitis and the WWE offices to return as quickly as possible, before he had fully healed.

But the constant injuries then and now prompted him to take time off and was primarily the reason why he didn’t renew his contract.

"They wanted me to sign for 5-years," Morrison said. "I might not be able to move the way I did in my prime, and I figured if I wanted to do an action movie the way I wanted to, the time is now."

Morrison will be one of the headlining acts on the aforementioned Lucha Underground show on the El Rey network.
