WWE Rumours: Kurt Angle and other ex- WWE Superstar's approximate WPCW salary revealed

A much anticipated main event and Cody’s dream coming true.

It has been 2 months since the inaugural show of WCPW took place and it grabbed all headlines after Kurt Angle requested for a match against Cody Rhodes on the 8th of October for the True Legacy event.

The match will take place at the Silver Blades Arena, Manchester. This will be the pair’s first meeting in the United Kingdom after their first ever meeting at the NEW Wrestling : Under the stars show where Rhodes won the match via pinfall.

Many of ex- WWE employees are expected to take part in this event

It is believed that WCPW have spent about $50,000 – $75,000 alone for talent on this show. The show boasts of names like Kurt Angle, Cody Rhodes, Bret Hart, Jim Cornette, Jim Ross, Melina and Alberto El Patrón.

The main event will be Kurt Angle vs Cody Rhodes and the other stars would be available for the first ever WCPW fan convention.

According to Dave Meltzer, Kurt Angle was worth around $25,000 or even more and El Patrón costed around $10,000. The amount for Cody Rhodes maybe is little bit cheaper but the amount for the announcers Jim Ross and Jim Cornette are believed to be high.

WCPW’s first ever iPPV.

Apart from this show WCPW ran it’s debut iPPV (Internet pay-per-view) Refuse To Lose, where Angle took on the local star Joe Hendry who won the Kurt Angle Invitational Elimination Rumble for this oppurtunity and emerged victorious while Cody Rhodes defeated Doug Williams and El Petròn was defeated by El Ligero.

With around 10,000 people expected to buy the PPV and about 2000 attending the show live along with the merchandise sales, WCPW will be looking towards profit from this show. Which undoubtebly is the biggest one they have put forward so far.

Adam Clery, Managing editor of WCPW spoke about the event by saying “ It’s obviously a little scary moving out of our comfort zone, and logistically it presents a lot of different challenges than running a show 15 minutes from our office. But when you've got Kurt Angle, Cody Rhodes, and Bret Hart on the bill, the promotion handles itself thankfully.”

With huge names attending the fan convention along with a spectacular main event and with the dream team of Jim Ross and Jim Cornette calling the matches, the show is expected to blow the roof and escalate WCPW to new heights.
