Will Kurt Angle return to the WWE?

– Kurt Angle is one of the most acclaimed stars in the pro wrestling business.

The Olympic gold medalist was a huge entity in the WWE and won various titles during his run with the top promotion. Angle, who was a great technical wrestler also exuded a lot of charisma and his segments with Brock Lesnar were particularly funny.

Kurt Angle spoke with WrestleTalk TV recently where he opened up about Paul Heyman, Vince McMahon, Eddie Guerrero and more.

On the respect he got from his legendary peers in the WWE

Kurt Angle said that he came to the WWE after winning the Gold Medal at the Olympics and stated that due to these accomplishments nobody backstage tried to mess with him.

Angle said that he was not threatened even a single time and was respected by huge stars and his peers such as Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Undertaker.

On Paul Heyman

Angle spoke about his former manager Paul Heyman. Paul Heyman has been one of the most charismatic people in the WWE first as an announcer and then as a manager. Heyman has managed stars such as Lesnar and others and was involved in a storyline with Angle.

Angle said that he respects Heyman as he supported the smaller guys. He said that Heyman supported the likes of Jericho, Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit in a big way.

He went on to reveal that Heyman wanted to build ECW around him when he came back to the WWE.

He also added that it was disrespectful towards him to show him in the crucifixion angle.

On Vince McMahon

Kurt Angle praised Vince McMahon and said that the chairman saw a lot more in him than he did in himself. He said that Vince always wanted to protect and take care of him as he was seen as a huge asset.

On Eddie Guererro and Chris Benoit

He said that by the time he wrestled Eddie Guerrero, he was down with accidents due to wrestling and other things, and deeply regretted that fact. He regarded the Benoit-Michaels match at Rumble to be a classic bout that was as good as it got.

He added that Benoit would have been considered as the best ever by the fans if things hadn’t gone wrong with him.
