Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose: The feud of the year will be continued...

Adios, for now!

It has been quite a week already for the WWE and it has just begun. Summerslam featured many good to great matches. There were some moments that will stand the test of time and if Summerslam was a joyride then Raw was at par with what it had to offer. And of all the things that happened, I am glad that Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose got to main event the show. They ended the night on quite an insane note. Ambrose was carried on a stretcher but this statement on WWE’s official website was just so apt to further Ambrose’s character, which has been one of the most interesting development in the WWE today-

“Despite suffering what was deemed to be extensive head and spine trauma after being Curb Stomped through a pile of cinder blocks by Seth Rollins on Raw, Dean Ambrose has not only refused treatment but is reportedly missing after escaping WWE medical personnel altogether….”

Just wondering that Ambrose is somewhere on this very planet wandering off with that unstable look on his face is something that by this point fans can picture in their mind. Dean Ambrose is on the loose people!

Great Opportunity for Both Characters

This is probably being done to give him the time to begin and complete the shooting schedule of the WWE movie that he has just been cast in. If that is actually the case, then this send-off was perfect. This not only continues the hugely entertaining and profoundly meaningful feud, it also gave both the superstars an opportunity to showcase their gimmicks.

Seth Rollins has been booked really well as heel and he is only getting as much heat as Ambrose is getting all the cheers. Rollins and Ambrose have, undeniably, great in-ring chemistry. And not only has Ambrose been one of the most interesting characters to watch with his antics and all, it helps greatly when Seth Rollins sells the heck out of each of his former teammates moves. Nobody sells Ambrose’s trademark clothesline as well as Rollins does. I mean, he flips a total of 360 degrees.

Great Storyline

Both of them can take bumps and that is what they’ve been thriving upon. I mean, that is what really triggered this feud. Rollins unabashedly hit Ambrose with multiple chair shots when he pulled off one of the most shocking moments in the history of Raw.

The fact that the powers that be decided to have the young superstars to end Raw speaks a lot about how much faith they are willing to show to these two uber-talented superstars. They capped off a spectacular edition of Raw which was also, inbetween, highlighted by the very well way in which Creative executed the viral ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Rollins’ expressions were only topped by Ambrose’s immediately after. It was probably one of those hilarious moments that people always remember. It is just so great that they got to face each other so early on in their singles careers.

El Classico?

Every great superstar has had atleast one memorable/classic feud with another great superstar.

Stone Cold had Vince McMahon and The Rock. Hogan had Warrior and Macho Man. Bret Hart had Shawn Michaels. John Cena had CM Punk. Could the same be said for Ambrose and Rollins? They are very close. This rivalry has not felt tired or worn out or stretched yet. It has only gotten better. I really don’t want to know when this feud is going to end. The journey has been worthwhile. And if anything, these two have carried the Shield’s reputation and legacy of sheer awesome insanity in the ring.

They just delivered the greatest Lumberjack Match of ALL time. On Raw, they ended what can possibly be categorized under the ‘PPV worth matches shown on free TV’. They used MITB to trigger a great story as well.

Hope to see Ambrose return in a few weeks and renew this great feud. If not Match of The Year, this is surely The Feud of The Year. Yes, it seems more entertaining than Daniel Bryan Versus the Authority or John cena against Brock Lesnar.
