Mick Foley disappointed with WWE, RAW ratings see a huge drop

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley has seemingly become disillusioned with the franchise due to their supposed biases. The 50-year-old took an exception to the limited coverage afforded to the Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch bout on WWE RAW and felt that it should have got more time.

The wrestler took to Facebook to slam WWE and also suggested that the franchise didn’t take all its talent seriously. Foley, who is a four-time world champion and is known for his outspoken views, suggested that genuinely talented wrestlers like Kevin Owens aren’t given top billing by the WWE, despite them receiving a fantastic reception as well as other newly introduced wrestlers who are made a mockery of, only just after their big breaks.

Foley was quoted as saying:

I am one of those people on the verge of becoming a former WWE fan. I’m tired of being told through Raw, Smackdown and PPV’s that WWE superstars I have rooted for – from Ziggler toCesaro to Kevin Owens aren’t top stars – no matter how strongly crowd reaction seems to disagree. I’m tired of NXT stars getting their big “break” in WWE, just to be treated like jokes.

Mick Foley’s views should certainly be treated with a huge dose of respect, given that the wrestler has seen it all during his lengthy wrestling career, winning a total of four world championships during his stints in WWE and TNA, 11 world tag team championships as well as holding the distinction of being the inaugural WWF Hardcore Champion.

His last achievement earned him the nickname – The Hardcore Legend. Foley also doubles up as an author and has released several well-received books.

- In other news, Monday’s broadcast of WWE RAW, which featured recent Heavyweight champion Sheamus, pulled in 2.964 million viewers, which is a cause for concern as it’s lower than last weeks 3.293 million viewers, which is a record low for the franchise.

The ratings for the first hour of this week's show averaged 3.190 million viewers, while the second hour pulled in 2.990 million viewers, with the final hour attracting 2.712 million viewers.
