– Natalya, the former Divas champion who recently made her return on RAW spoke with Michael Cole in detail about her future in the business, her husband Tyson Kidd and the divas revolution.
Natalya was not seen on TV for a while after the horrific neck injury suffered by her husband. She has been one of the longest serving divas in the Divas division and comes from a great wrestling family, the Hart family. She spoke to Cole in a sit down interview on the WWE Network and had a lot to say. Below are some of the highlights from the interview.
On Tyson Kidd’s injury situation
Tyson Kidd who was injured in a match against Samoa Joe has been out of action indefinitely. When Cole asked her about her husband’s situation she said that he is doing much better. She also added that he keeps on gettng stronger and stronger as each day passes and that his positive attitude towards the injury is the thing that keeps him going.
On Divas Revolution and her absence
Michael Cole asked her about her absence from the Divas revolution and her overall opinion about the direction that the divas division is going towards. Natalya said that she could not be a part of the Divas revolution as that was the same time her husband got injured and that she had to be home by his side.
She stated that it was very difficult for her to be home, put her career aside and watch the excitement going on in the Divas division from home. She talks about the match she had with Charlotte, the current champion and says that they had a bond as they were raised in similar conditions as both come from wrestling families.
Cole brings up the fact that a lot of people thought Natalya would be the one in the forefront when the Divas revolution started.
Her opinion about Paige
Natalya spoke a lot about Paige after being quizzed by Michael Cole. She said that the whole revolution has been an effort of every single Diva on the roster and unlike Paige, thinks that every Diva should be given credit where its due. She said that Paige’s claim is “inaccurate” and that Paige has been acting like an immature child.
She said that Paige is frustrated and feels irrelevant as she is not the newest diva on the block anymore. She spoke about Paige, suffering temper tantrums and called her a hypocrite as she is going against every principle she stood for when she first arrived.
About her Retirement
When Cole asked her about her retirement plans, Natalya laughed off saying that she has a lot more to offer and that the best is yet to come.
