WWE News: Daughters of Wrestling legends want Ronda Rousey for new female wrestling league

The daughters of the legends

It was reported a week ago or so that the daughters of wrestling/martial arts legends, Brooke Hogan (Hulk Hogan), Brittany Page (Diamond Dallas Page), Lacey Von Erich (Kerry Von Erich), Ariel Toombs (Roddy Piper), and Bianca Bree (Jean-Claude Van Damme) are getting together to form a new Women’s wrestling league.

In an interview with TMZ, they said that Ronda Rousey was one of the names that they were trying to get in the league. They are not only looking for female wrestlers but also female fighters.

The women said that they were planning to take care of their women the way NFL took care of their players. They said that the females were the highest rated yet are the most underpaid, and that they planned to pay them well and take care of them should they get injured.

Lacey Von Erich remarked about how she was the highest rated and yet not paid accordingly during her wrestling days. She also discussed the gross negligence towards health issues, stating that she’d be told to “drink a beer and take a nap” when she’d get concussed.

Ariel Toombs said that they understood the sacrifice that it took to be a pro-wrestler, Lacey Von Erich even more so being a wrestler herself at one point. At the end, Brooke Hogan even told former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm to “Call her!”.

The good part about it all is that given the parentage of the women, the funds, at least initially, wouldn’t be an issue. In a previous interview with TMZ, Brittany Page said that they planned to go head-to-head with TNA. They will be able to do so as long as TNA gets out of the mess that they are currently in.

Meanwhile, enjoy watching Lacey Von Erich put the TMZ cameraman in a headlock!
