WWE News: Goldberg spears his first victim in 12 years

Paul Heyman was at the receiving end of a brutal spear by Goldberg

As WWE makes its way to Survivor Series, the Brock Lesnar-Goldberg rivalry is heating up. Just a week after WWE made the match official for Survivor Series, Goldberg made another appearance on RAW at Hartford, Connecticut.

The Halloween edition of Monday Night RAW opened with Goldberg making his way down to the ring to cut a promo. But he was soon interrupted by Paul Heyman. Brock Lesnar’s advocate then made it to the ring to express his client’s displeasure at the consistent “Goldberg” chants.

Heyman teased that Lesnar would confront Goldberg that very moment, but it was all mind games by Heyman to get into Goldberg’s head.

The segment wasn’t over there, as Rusev came down to the ring and proclaimed that Goldberg was well past his prime and could not pull off the signature moves that once made him a monster in WCW.

Rusev even took a shot a Goldberg. This ticked off the WCW veteran as he proceeded to hit Rusev with a stunning Jackhammer.

Goldberg wasn’t done there. He turned around and speared Paul Heyman off his shoes amidst deafening cheers. WWE posted a video of the segment on their Twitter account showcasing the events as they transpired. Heyman was then carried off to a local medical facility in an ambulance.

This was Goldberg’s first spear in twelve years inside a WWE ring. The last time Goldberg pulled that move in a WWE ring, it was WrestleMania XX and his opponent was Brock Lesnar. Goldberg had won that match, but Lesnar has since, morphed into a beast leaving behind a trail of destruction in his wake.

Later Goldberg sent out a tweet admitting that he still had some ring rust and that he was working on to get it out of his system, before the titanic clash at Survivor Series.
