WWE News: James Ellsworth wants rematch against Braun Strowman

Ellsworth has become an overnight sensation in the WWE and now holds two victories over AJ Styles

James Ellsworth was recently interviewed on the Hit The Ropes podcast and discussed his childhood as a wrestling fan, AJ Styles, wrestling organisations trying to sign him and much more. Ellsworth also revealed that he would like to have a rematch with Braun Strowman.

He said that he was all for giving the fans what they wanted and that many fans on Twitter had expressed their wishes for a rematch. Ellsworth also teased the possibility of a Royal Rumble entry saying that he was hopeful of making the cut to enter into the Royal Rumble match.

James Ellsworth has been on fire in the WWE with more victories over AJ Styles than John Cena. He is one of the most over faces on WWE programming and also has his t-shirts selling like hot cakes. Fuelled by the quote, ‘Any man with two hands has a fighting chance”, James Ellsworth has taken the wrestling world by storm.

Ellsworth admitted that he was nervous stepping into the ring with perhaps the best wrestler in the world at the moment. Ellsworth claimed that being in the ring with Styles with the WWE World Championship on the line was a dream come true for him.

He drew his attention to his childhood saying that the referee raising the World Championship made him recall the Iron Man match between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels that he had seen as a child.

Ellsworth also recounted an incident where the Miz had taken him down on the ramp on SmackDown Live about a month ago. Ellsworth made it clear that if he would be a part of the blue brand then he would surely look for a way to avenge his humiliation by Miz.

"Like I always say: It doesn't matter whether it's Miz, or if it's Strowman, or it's the WWE world champ AJ Styles – when I get in there, I have a chance. Because any man with two hands has a fighting chance."

Ellsworth also confirmed reports that he had known Gillberg for a long time. He said that Gillberg was from Baltimore as well and his uncle and Gillberg were the best of friends. Ellsworth stated that Gillberg wasn’t into wrestling at the moment, but that Ellsworth had convinced him to start again.

Ellsworth said that a lot of fans would be interested in watching the duo and they had in fact done some tag team matches for some independent promotions.
