WWE News: Jim Ross Suggests John Cena Should Turn Heel For WrestleMania Match With Undertaker

John Cena on WWE TV.

As WrestleMania 33 approaches, the WWE is about to embark on storylines that will culminate in a huge moment in Orlando, Florida. Superstars like Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, the Miz, AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose will likely make the show a must-watch for the entire WWE Universe. Those take care of the full-time wrestlers on the docket. Brock Lesnar, Goldberg and the Undertaker are rumoured for the event but aren’t guaranteed just yet.

It’s beginning to play out like a Goldberg, and Lesnar match will happen at WrestleMania 33. The Royal Rumble will prove that theory to be true or false. Both men are already confirmed for the Royal Rumble match. That leaves the Undertaker without something to do, as of right now. Rumours indicate the Deadman will take on John Cena at WrestleMania 33. There are no reports as to what the stipulation will be, but there presumably will be one.

WWE fans believe the WWE Championship will be on the line. As the WWE Universe continues to speculate, Jim Ross discussed this potential match with Lance Storm on his podcast, The Ross Report. Both men gave their thoughts on a Cena/Undertaker feud. He also suggested that Cena should turn heel if that match were to take place. It would make sense because the Phenom would never turn heel for one more run. Cena has that versatility that would allow it to take place.

There isn’t much time to build to a big feud between the Undertaker and John Cena. If the WWE decides to pull the trigger, it needs to be before the Royal Rumble, or on the Smackdown Live post-Rumble. Those are two huge stars that can sell tickets and push revenue towards the company. While the undercard needs to have its fair share, the main event could be Cena and Undertaker, especially if the Deadman’s career is on the line.
