Monday Night on Raw, Rusev faced off against Sami Zayn to determine who would face Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship.
When Lana did her standard introduction for her husband Rusev, she ignored the Scottish crowd and still asked ‘America’ to stand up, as per her routine. She then addressed the “botch” she made
Last year, Lana was set for a big singles push and face turn, when she broke off with Rusev and had an alliance with Dolph Ziggler. She was involved in a love quadrangle storyline with Ziggler, Rusev, and Summer Rae.

The storyline was trashed and came to an abrupt end when Rusev posted a photo online of Lana with him wearing an engagement ring. Even though everyone knew that the couple was still dating in real life, Vince McMahon was reportedly furious at the couple for having leaked the photo and thus ended that storyline in a jiffy.
The feud itself was not well received by fans. But Lana was paired with Rusev not long after. She was one of the central parts in Rusev’s most recent feud with Roman Reigns, where an altercation led to Lana's face being splattered with a cake.
From then onwards, Rusev kept saying that he was “fighting for the honour of his wife” which confused many fans as to who was the babyface and who was the heel, as Rusev was cast as a heel in that feud.
