WWE News: Mickie James open to joining WWE's main roster

James to face Asuka this Saturday

Returning WWE Superstar and former WWE Women's Champion Mickie James joined John Canton and Rey Moralde on the TJRWrestling Podcast to talk about her return to the WWE at NXT TakeOver: Toronto this Saturday.

On being a part of WWE's main roster again, James said:

“Absolutely, I would be completely open to being on WWE's main roster again.

I also recognise that people talk about WWE's young talent and they're all hungry and I totally agree with that because there's a lot of amazing talent that's both signed and unsigned.

I feel like there's something unique, special and different that I can bring to the roster.”

James also gave her thoughts on the current NXT Women's Champion and her opponent at TakeOver, Asuka:

“Asuka is an incredible performer. I've seen her work in Japan, I've seen her work in Shimmer and I've seen her work in NXT. It's cool to see a character not only come to life but be a breath of fresh of air and the fans connect to her so well.”

During the podcast, James also gave her thoughts on the Women’s Revolution in the WWE, her experience on being a part of WWE's Tribute to the Troops tour in the past, Global Force Wrestling's first set of shows outside the U.S. in England, which she will be a part of etc.

After AAA, James went to work for TNA feuding with Madison Rayne, and having a brief run as a Knockouts Champion before returning back to the independent circuit. She later had one more brief stint in TNA before joining Jeff Jarret’s Global Force Wrestling.
