WWE News: Paul Heyman not advertised for tonight's Raw

Heyman will not be in Denver tonight

Last week, Paul Heyman returned to respond to Bill Goldberg’s comments the previous night on ESPN’s Off The Top Rope regarding a potential rematch with Brock Lesnar.

Goldberg had openly stated for a while that he would love to have a rematch with Lesnar in order to right the wrong that was his final match in WWE – the disastrous Wrestlemania XX match which saw both competitors get jeered by the crowd for leaving.

Heyman issued a challenge to Goldberg, stating that Brock Lesnar wanted the win back over the one opponent he had never defeated. Goldberg tweeted that he was returning to Raw in Denver to answer Heyman’s challenge in person.

However, Heyman himself won’t be there as the F4WOnline.com is reporting that Heyman will not be appearing on Raw tonight. However, he definitely will be back next week as Lesnar will be returning on October 24th in his hometown of Minneapolis for Raw.

Goldberg is advertised for the show after that. Both icons are advertised for the go-home Raw before Survivor Series on November 14th in Buffalo, New York. The advertising of the two megastars looks like this leading into Survivor Series:

Oct. 17: GoldbergOct. 24: LesnarOct. 31: GoldbergNov. 7: Neither Nov. 14: Goldberg & LesnarWWE wanted to have the match in order to promote WWE 2K17. Whenever WWE has promoted a star who they’ve not done business with in a long time or at all, they have brought them back in some form. When Ultimate Warrior was advertised for 2K14, he came back the next year for a Hall Of Fame induction.

When Sting was advertised for 2K15, he came back for two matches and even ended up getting a Hall Of Fame induction this year. And the roll continues, as Goldberg will be returning to what is a one-off as of now in Survivor Series.

Heyman did a great job last week at putting over Goldberg, calling him an icon and building him up. It will be interesting to see the reception that Goldberg gets not only tonight but also in Toronto where he was once booed out.

Also, Bret Hart’s career ended at his hand so we will have to see how that affects the Canadian crowd’s perception of him. It is being said that whether or not Goldberg’s return is a one-off depends on the reception he gets.
