WWE News: Raw viewership up from last week

The red brand went up

Monday night Raw was taped from Glasgow, Scotland on Monday due to time difference (so that it could air at the same time as it normally does in the US whilst being convenient for the local, live audience to watch). Despite it being taped, the viewership rose to 2.76 million from last week’ s 2.60 million.

They even managed to surpass 3 million viewers for the first hour:

Hour one: 3.06 millionHour two: 2.73 millionHour three: 2.50 million

What is interesting is that there was no Goldberg, Lesnar, or any match promoted beforehand. Perhaps the build to Survivor Series itself is quite a draw.

The main event of Raw was a Fatal-5-Way match between the Survivor Series men’s team, i.e, Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins vs Braun Strowman vs Chris Jericho vs Kevin Owens. Notably, the Raw Survivor Series Women’s team and Tag Teams were also completed.

Next week’s Raw should be interesting, and will highly likely be up in viewership as well. A Goldberg and Lesnar face-off segment has been announced.

Also, Smackdown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon and General Manager Daniel Bryan are appearing on Raw, so it is possible that they may bring some of their Smackdown Live roster stars with them.

Smackdown Live this week is expected to get the lowest viewership due to the United States election results tallying and announcement.

After Raw next week, there will be a live Network program featuring the Raw and Smackdown Live Commissioners and General Managers in a debate called The State Of The WWE Universe

Another possible drawing point from last week’s Raw was the silent interaction between former Shield brothers Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins after the latter came and saved Reigns from an assault by Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho. They played off that in the YouTube channel:

Next week’s Raw having Goldberg, Lesnar and the Smackdown Live Commissioner and General Manager is their answer to Smackdown Live having their 900th episode the next day. The Smackdown episode will feature the return of WWE Hall Of Famer Edge in a Cutting Edge segment and also the return of The Undertaker.
