WWE News: Rusev upset with WrestleMania booking

Rusev feels he was disrespected at WrestleMania

Rusev, the Bulgarian Brute, is reported to be upset with his WrestleMania booking. During his recent interview with The Mirror, he candidly talked about his WrestleMania win and the following segment with WWE Hall of Famers Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels and Mick Foley.

According to Rusev, he felt that he was disrepected in the angle.

“It was annoying at first! Because we just won, we were celebrating at WrestleMania. All of a sudden you hear that music and these people are coming down to disrespect you and steal your moment. I felt disrespected so I needed to get in there and prove myself, that I could hang with these guys. And yeah, I got stunnered.” Rusev said.

It can be noted that Rusev was beating up Stone Cold for a minute before he got stunned by the Rattlesnake.Rusev also talked about the debut of his fiancee Lana. He told that she was proud of her and admired her resoluteness. He also claimed that Lana will soon take over Women’s Division(!).

“Oh, I was very proud. She looked amazing, she looked stunning. She was a bit nervous beforehand and I was trying to calm her down, which is totally understandable, when you have your first match at WrestleMania, the grandest stage of them all. But she handled it so well, she is so professional. She is just great. She went out there and she showcased to the world that she is going to be one of the best Divas and she is going to just get better and better. She is going to take over the Women's Division very soon.”

During WrestleMania 31, Rusev was in a high profile feud with John Cena for the United State Championship. This past year has not been that good to the Bulgarian Brute. Much like the title that he was feuding for last WrestleMania. Rusev has also faded into insignificance ever since he joined The League of Nations.
