WWE News: Stephanie McMahon signs a new contract

Stephanie has signed a 3-year contract with WWE

According to latest news reports, it appears that Stephanie has no intention of going away from the family business like her brother Shane previously did. PWInsider recently found in WWE’s recent filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission that Stephanie’s contract has been extended by three years.

Stephanie is linked to the company now until October 7, 2019. This deal will also extend automatically on a year to year basis after 2019 unless either she or the WWE states their desire to terminate it, 90 days in advance.

Stephanie has played a pivotal role in the past few years bringing essence into her character as an authority figure along with her husband Triple H in the "Authority" storyline. Presently, she portrays the on-screen Commissioner of Monday Night RAW with Mick Foley as the general manager.

Stephanie was not expected to leave the company as she and Triple H are expected to inherit the business whenever Vince McMahon is no longer in charge. Apart from that, with Triple H being in involved in ‘senior management’ the chances of Stephanie leaving were almost null.

Stephanie has had a long history with WWE as she started off as a model for WWF sales and merchandise in 1998. She was promoted to Executive vice president in 2007. She reached the pinnacle of success after she was named as the Chief Brand Officer in 2013.
