WWE News: Vince McMahon in charge of 205 Live, not Triple H

Vince McMahon is in charge of WWE 205 Live
No one would have thought that McMahon is the brains behind 205 Live

In a departure from what has been the norm for new shows, 205 Live is actually run by Vince McMahon according to reports from Ringsidenews.com. 205 Live is a WWE network exclusive which features all the cruiserweights in action.

The show is available on the network only and is shown right after SmackDown Live. It isn’t just McMahon who is heading the division but he is getting some help from Kevin Dunn as well. Dunn has been part of the WWE for 20 years but the most surprising aspect of this revelation is that Triple H is nowhere to be seen.

The former WWE champion has been a regular for the WWE NXT brand and it was his vision which saw the brand get pushed to an incredible extent. Credit must be given where it is due and Triple H has made NXT extremely popular, and has seen the debut of many stars such as Shinsuke Nakamura, Samoa Joe and even Finn Balor.

McMahon, on the other hand, was never in love with the cruiserweights. The under 205-punders weren’t his archetypical big wrestlers and it is a surprise that he is pushing this division all that much.

It isn’t just 205 Live which has seen the cruiserweights in action. RAW has seen the resurgence of the division and the wrestlers are getting their fair share of the limelight. TJ Perkins, Rich Swann, The Brian Kendrick and many others have been seen performing on both RAW and 205 Live.

McMahon’s interest in the division could be due to the popularity of the Cruiserweight Classic, which was completed a few months ago. 205 Live does feature a lot of high flying action and is supposed to give the WWE universe a different feel when compared to the other brands on show.

It will be interesting to see what the real vision for the division actually is. Should Vince give the wrestlers their due credit, we could be looking at a cruiserweight picking up a major WWE championship sooner rather than later.
