WWE News: What happened after today's Smackdown went off air? - 18th October 2016

James Ellsworth won the main event against AJ Styles

Today's SmackDown was live from Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. It is reported that today's blue brand's live show featured two dark matches, one pre-show dark match featuring Natalya and one post the televised end between Randy Orton & Bray Wyatt.

'Ladies Of Wrestling' has reported that before tonight's taping started, Natalya defeated a local wrestler inside the squared circle at Denver.

After the show ended, a dark match took place where Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt squared off against each other in a singles match. As we saw on television, Bray Wyatt interfered between the Randy Orton vs. Luke Harper match and then disappeared with Harper after Kane had made an appearance.

Randy Orton had quite a few dues to settle with Bray Wyatt from last week's Smackdown as well as for the interference earlier in the show.

After quite a bit of back and forth between Randy Orton and Wyatt, Randy Orton seems to have gotten the upper hand and he finished off Bray Wyatt with an RKO for a pinfall victory. The crowds got what they came here for, a clean finish to send them all home happy!

The previous match that Randy Orton had with Luke Harper had ended with Randy Orton winning by disqualification due to Bray's interference. After the loss, the Wyatts tried to throw Randy in the casket only to find the Big Red Monster waiting for them the moment they opened it.

The Wyatts trying to bury 'The Viper' in a casket could lead up to a casket match between Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt at Survivor Series. It would surely add a much-needed twist and a gimmick to a feud which is rapidly becoming stale.

Bray Wyatt being carried to the ring by his disciples

We also saw the debut of 'No Chin Music' in the televised main event between AJ Styles & James Ellsworth. It is a complete give away that 'The Lunatic Fringe', Dean Ambrose will be competing against AJ Styles at Survivor Series for the WWE Championship.

We also might see James Ellsworth finally switching roles with Dean Ambrose to either become a referee or assume any other ring-side role which might cost Styles the championship.

Multiple sources have reported that the arena was far from sold out. The ticket sales were massively hurt as WWE hosted yesterday's RAW at the same venue.

We will keep you updated with pictures and videos of the dark matches.
