Original Sin Cara released

The original Sin Cara

The original Sin Cara

There were rumors for a long time that WWE have released the original Sin Cara, and now it’s official. WWE have confirmed on their website the departure of the original Sin Cara (Luis Ignacio Urive Alvirde), who was once considered a future top star and the next Rey Mysterio, but he never lived up to the expectations. Call it bad booking or accept the truth that he wasn’t good enough for WWE.

To clear some doubts, the Sin Cara you are watching in the ring so far this year is Hunico or Sin Cara Negro. Urive didn’t wrestle in the WWE since October 19, when he took on Alberto Del Rio in a house show in Mexico. WWE continued the character of Sin Cara despite Urive’s departure because the Sin Cara character is a part of the Scooby-Doo! WrestleMania Mystery movie and now that the movie is released they can discontinue the character for good.

He has returned to Mexico where he was a top superstar, and is currently signed to World Wrestling League (WWL) and Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) which he joined in January and February respectively.
