Paul Heyman reveals he proposed two angles for Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania

Paul Heyman

Paul Heyman revealed that two angles were suggested for The Undertaker Vs. Brock Lesnar match at Wrestle mania, but were rejected by WWE chairman Vince McMahon.

WWE could have used previous Brock Lesnar vs Undertaker angle in UFC

Heyman remarked that the build-up video could add to the reality to the program, and WWE could make use of the previous battle where Undertaker attacked Brock Lesnar after Lesnar’s fight against Cain Velasquez on October 23, 2010 in Anaheim.

In that incident, The Phenom asked Lesnar “Do you wanna do it”? As both the wrestlers stared at each other, following which WWE wanted to host a match between Undertaker and Lesnar at Wrestle mania, but back then Lesnar was a UFC fighter and President Dana White had declined the offer to let Lesnar to fight at Wrestle mania and the match never took place.

Second idea could have been the managerial ties he had with Taker in WCW

Heyman’s second idea was to with the help of his past managerial ties with the Deadman in WCW.

The future legend (called as Mark Callous) became one the best wrestlers by winning over Johny ace at Capital Combat in May 1990. In another match, Callous went against Lex Luger for the Title for NWA United States Heavyweight Championship at the Great American Bash on July 1990.

So the idea was to put this match video against Luger prior to the Wrestle mania clash.

Curiously enough, WWE doesn’t acknowledge the Undertaker’s presence at WCW, owing to his mysterious persona. But in that video, Undertaker did speak in the 2001 release where he said “This is my yard.”

Heyman too spoke, telling the fans how he met the mysterious wrestler. He said in the video,” Our first meeting was in Indianapolis. He walked into the room and this guy was just a monster. He had such a presence to him. The fact that he wasn't already on top of WCW scared me."
