WWE has been on a roll since WrestleMania 32 with the ushering of a new era in the business. There had a been a lot of talk about Global Cruiserweight Tournament which starts in July. The tournament will act as a solid platform for wrestlers who are not on the WWE roster to get more exposure and show their craft to the world. Some of the most highly regarded wrestlers will take part along with some talent from the NXT Roster.
WWE is thinking of building on this and possibly launch two other tournaments on the WWE Network. There has been speculations that the WWE will launch a Women's tournament which will consist of female wrestlers from the roster as well as from the indie scene. This would be a great step towards women's wrestling and could really act as a revolution.
The other tournament talked about is the Dusty Classic Tag Team Tournament which was held last year in the memory of the ‘American Dream’ Dusty Rhodes. Last year the team of Samoa Joe and Finn Balor won this tournament to much fan fare. WWE is possibly looking to continue the tournament this year too as a tribute to the great Dusty Rhodes.
