WWE Tough Enough returns in June

The Wrestling Observer notes that WWE have started the talent hiring process for the return of Tough Enough, which will air on the USA Network this summer and not the WWE Network as originally planned.

The focus will not be on the current crop of NXT hopefuls, rather they are signing a mix of independent wrestlers and non-wrestlers specifically for the show. This will include fans, but also athletes from other disciplines. The Performance Center in Orlando will be one of the primary locations for filming.

Some wrestlers who had been offered regular tryouts have now been informed that they should apply for Tough Enough instead.

WWE are using reality TV casting agents instead of their own internal talent scouting department. It’s not yet known who will be used in the trainer/judge roles.
