– The perennial fan favorite Rey Mysterio has a legion of fans that want him back in the WWE sooner or later. The man himself has been quite keen on stepping foot again in the WWE ring, but the officials backstage think otherwise.
For a star like Rey, there are always many takers waiting in line due to his star power. If speculations are to be believed, Rey is all set to make his Lucha Underground debut and be the marquee star of season 2. Before that transpires, though, Mysterio is keeping himself busy in the indies, which is the best way to be occupied for a pro wrestler.
He won the Destiny Heavyweight title at Mississauga, Ontario on October 3rd for the federation promoted by former WWE Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella. That wasn’t the only WWE angle involved as he defeated former WWE star Justin Gabriel (now known as P.J Black) and Ricochet to claim the gold.
