WWE Rumor Roundup for the week : 10 April, 2016

Rollins and Orton to return soon

The week after WrestleMania is always a fun topic to talk about. WWE usually comes up with a string of big developments to their products and all these kicks off a string of rumors that gets the fans excited. This year was no different and had some interesting rumors over the past seven days. While a couple of them revolved around the big changes that WrestleMania might’ve had, others looked into the much-awaited return of certain superstars.

There were also rumors about WWE looking into Indy talent from Lucha Underground while the potential debut of Balor club also featured in the rumors. Here is a detailed look at the top speculations from the past week.

Status of Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows

Balor is waiting

Just like WWE changed the plan with WrestleMania, they also changed the plans for Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson. Doc and Karl was supposed to make their debut on the Raw after WrestleMania but WWE changed the plans and the debut is now delayed indefinitely. Doc and Karl were also backstage for the SmackDown tapings but they were not used at all.

Meanwhile, Finn Balor has been teasing the appearance of these two heavily. He recently held up a fan sign which said ‘Where is Doc and Karl’. WWE might be saving the whole stable thing for a summer storyline as they have already introduced a string of new NXT superstars into the main roster after WrestleMania.

Shane McMahon had a bigger stunt in mind

Shane wanted to do something bigger

Shane McMahon’s big jump off the Cell got everyone talking and from the rumors, Shane apparently wanted to do something bigger. He had planned on jumping off the Titantron. Shane had also practiced the same a few times but for some reason it was called off and he decided to jump off from the Cell instead. On the next night, Shane showed up with bruises on his face, which were put to place with the help of makeup.

Elsewhere, Dean Ambrose wanted a more violent match with Brock Lesnar. Dean wanted some big bumps to be performed on him, but WWE did not approve the ideas and Dean had to settle for the match he had.

WrestleMania 32 decisions

Last minute decision

According to the rumors, the decisions about WrestleMania were made in the last minute. Most of the matches were not supposed to end like it did and WWE did have other plans. The most notable one was the decision to crown Zack Ryder as the champion. Initially, WWE had planned to keep the championship on Kevin Owens. However, this changed on the day of WrestleMania and Zack was given his WrestleMania moment.

Also, Charlotte winning the Women’s championship was not on the cards. Sasha was the one who WWE had in their mind first but this also changed on the day of the pay-per-view.

WWE signing Indy talent

WWE Bound

WWE is apparently interested big time in Lucha Underground superstar Ricochet. Ricochet has been under WWE’s radar for quite some time now and now he is linked with the Global Cruiserweight series of WWE which might serve as a platform for his signing. Ricochet, who wrestles as Prince Puma in Lucha Underground might have some contractual problems in doing so.

According to the word around the block, Ricochet could be attached to Lucha Underground for all the way to 2017. Meanwhile, WWE is also looking into a few other Lucha Underground superstars whose names are not yet revealed. The company is expected to pitch contracts soon to these names.

Return of Seth Rollins and Randy Orton

Returning soon

Randy Orton, who had been out of action due to an injury, is expected to return to in-ring action in a couple of months. Orton who had a stabilizing surgery for his shoulder missed out the entire WrestleMania season and his return could be a big boost for the upcoming SummerSlam.

Another much-awaited return is that of Seth Rollins. The former WWE champion could return in July but could only get into the ring for SummerSlam. There is no talk on whom he will feud with but as far as Roman Reigns is concerned, WWE is looking into the possibility of a Reigns vs. Cena showdown for SummerSlam which could leave Rollins to feud with Triple H.
