Sheamus - ESPN highlights, What happened after SmackDown went off-air?

The Celtic warrior was the guest on ESPN this week

- This week in the ongoing series ‘Off The Top Rope’ on ESPN hosted by former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman, newly crowned WWE World Heavyweight champion Sheamus was the guest.

Coach enquired about the threat issued by ISIS at Survivor Series, to which Sheamus replied that WWE had taken the threat seriously. He talked about WWE working with other security agencies to keep things safe and despite the threat, a WWE event is the safest place one can be at.

Coach then asked about Sheamus being the only Irish-born WWE World Heavyweight champion, which the Celtic Warrior expressed pride in. Sheamus termed the Irish as among the hardest hitters in the world today and brought up the names of UFC star Conor McGregor and WWE NXT champion Finn Balor.

When Coach asked him about his upcoming battle against Roman Reigns for the title at WWE Tables, Ladders & Chairs PPV, Sheamus promised chaos and action, but expressed confidence that the belt will stay with him.

He also talked about his recent appearances with Notre Dame and their football team and says they have welcomed him with open arms. He plans on being on the sidelines with the title as Notre Dame wins the national championship this year.

He says there’s no better time to be Irish and he’s beaming with Irish pride right now.

- As we reported earlier, it was Dean Ambrose in the main event of SmackDown this week, victorious in his match against Dolph Ziggler & Tyler Breeze. Following the match however, after the show went off air, Ambrose found himself surrounded in the ring by the Wyatt family.

The Lunatic Fringe tried fighting off the bad guys himself, but was quickly overpowered. But then, Roman Reigns and The Usos came out to make the save and warded off the bad guys, to end the night with the good guys standing tall in the ring.
