WWE SummerSlam most social, Damien Sandow in Triumph Games, Paige movie teaser

This year’s WWE SummerSlam was the most social in history.

Vince McMahon wanted this year’s SummerSlam to be grand, as a pre-cursor to Wrestlemania next year. Well looks like it has hit the jackpot. Surpassing the premiere of the new Walking Dead show, SummerSlam on the award-winning WWE Network, was the most social program in primetime last night, generating more than 575,000 social mentions – more than double the social mentions of Walking Dead. This was also the most social SummerSlam in WWE history, an event which saw Seth Rollins defeat John Cena with the help of former Daily Show host Jon Stewart. Here are the numbers:

SummerSlam (WWE Network) 575,424 (up 43% vs. SummerSlam 2014)

Fear the Walking Dead (AMC) 246,962 (N/A WoW)

NFL Preseason: Rams at Titans (FOX) 44,544 (N/A WoW)

Basketball Wives (VH1) 40,716 (down 26% WoW)

Big Brother (CBS) 38,151 (up 6% WoW)

Damien Sandow has been conspicuous by his absence for some time. He was not scheduled to be a part of the WWE SummerSlam roster and was even absent from TV tapings. It seems Sandow is working with the 2015 Triumph Games in New York City it appears. WWE is an official partner for the Games, which will air on NBC in October. Here is Sandow at the opening ceremony:

WWE tweeted this teaser featuring the "icy Diva" Paige for WWE Studios' "Santa's Little Helper" movie, which comes out tomorrow and also stars The Miz. Here is the poster:
