TNA world title no longer recognised, Dixie Carter responds, Matt Hardy's son, Kurt Angle

Pro Wrestling Illustrated has decided that they will no longer recognize the TNA Title as being a “World title”. It seems like this is an indicator of where the company stands in the public eye of prestige right now. The company currently has a weak roster, is currently behind on pay, getting their network dropped soon because of low ratings, and lack of storyline direction; and that really takes a toll on what it means to be a champion for a company, and it really makes sense.

Meanwhile WWE is currently the top wrestling promotion in the world, with the most money and star power, therefore making the WWE World Heavyweight Title the most prestigious title there is. WWE being the #1 promotion makes that title The World Heavyweight Championship. TNA is currently #2 and probably in danger of dropping lower.

So henceforth, Pro Wrestling Illustrated announced this week that they are no longer recognizing TNA's World Heavyweight Title as a World Title from now on and will only recognize the WWE World Heavyweight Title as a World Title.

Meanwhile Kurt Angle noted on Twitter that he is no longer wearing a knee brace.

Dixie Carter tweeted the following in response to a fan who said they watched Sunday’s TNASlammiversary pay-per-view on an illegal stream:

Our hearty congratulations to Matt Hardy and his beautiful wife Reby, who within the last couple of hours gave birth to their very first child. Hardy noted on Twitter early this morning that he was sitting in the waiting room, then updated his account a few hours later, saying that the “1st 2nd generation Hardy Boy is about to debut!”. He tweeted this photo with his new son:

What makes Sting special? His first AEW opponent opens up RIGHT HERE.
