Top 5 NXT imports to the WWE

AJ Lee

There is one guaranteed great thing to come out of the WWE network and that is the ’NXT Arrival’. As JBL impeccably said that now the world will know about the hidden gems that the WWE members already know about.

Florida Championship Wrestling or FCW was the moniker used formerly for NXT for the platform for young or new talents to develop their skills. In 2010, what began as a creative reality show was adapted into their developmental territory. The reach is not as extravagant as some of the other brand extensions of the WWE. The performers who fared well at NXT made quite a cult following especially involving the hardcore smart fan. And they arrived to the main roster with much jubilation from those fans and to the indifferent reception to other not so hardcore fans.

Arguably, the one hour show keeps getting more interesting that the weighty three hour installments of Raw. Brimming with talent and brewing with youthful energy, the show is a must watch for any wrestling fan. The divas division in NXT is much, much better and competitive than the divas division on Raw or Smackdown.

Here is a list of talents from NXT who have become or are becoming relevant to WWE history.

5. AJ Lee

AJ Lee

The longest reigning divas champion had been a part of the TV series version of NXT which Katelyn won but Lee was arguably the most popular diva in the said series. She entered the main roster scene and soon became entangled with Bryan and the rest is history. In her twisted and complicated journey as the crazy diva she has skipped her way to become the only diva to consistently get a reaction. The only thing she needs now is an interesting rival.

Paige, where art thou?

4. Antonio Cesaro

Antonio Cesaro

Antonio Cesaro

Even though Cesaro came with a first name, a decent push, a valet in Aksana and eventually a championship, much was forgotten after a while when Creative did not know how to use him and now, just look at Cesaro. Doesn’t he have everybody’s attention NOW?

Dean Ambrose said in an interview that Cesaro does something “more and more amazing” every day and recounted a story that the man himself told him about carrying sheep in Switzerland and how that is the secret to him being, what Ambrose and fans alike think, ‘freaky strong’

He has finally arrived and how. Only the inevitable split lies between his momentum now and a solo career which might lead him to the main event scene.

3. The Wyatt Family

The Wyatt Family

The Wyatt Family

Who could’ve thought that Husky Harris could be this intriguing? With his sudden carefree bouts of laughter and his infectious train of thought he and his family have made gimmicks enjoyable again. Wyatt brings something very unique to the table in an era where WWE’s biggest challenge is to do something new, exciting and awe-inspiring.

He’s made creepy the new larger-than-life.

2014 has turned out to be Wyatt’s time with his great match at Royal Rumble against Bryan, the magnetic feud with Shield and his upcoming feud with Cena.

2. The Shield

The Shield

The Shield

Three superstars. Three unique styles. One can fly. One can jump from the heights of ecstasy to the depths of depression. And one is the powerhouse.

These three have come together to make something really special and which will and has become relevant to WWE history. The Shield have never disappointed. They came and revolutionized tag team wrestling.

And as closer they get to having solo careers and as they hopefully become great solo superstars as well, this team will always remain imprinted in everyone’s memory. And surely down the line, they can reunite like DX usually do.

1. Daniel Bryan

He was part of the inaugural TV Show. And now more than 3 years later…..

There is no one trending as Daniel Bryan right now. Not just NXT but the entire roster. Daniel Bryan is the man of the moment and he is going to stay so for a long time to come. The Yes Movement shall live and get stronger by the second.

He’s the symphony master to this ‘Yes’ Orchestra and it won’t be over until he says it’s over.
