WWE News: Triple H spotted at UFC 205

Triple H as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion
Triple H has been absent from WWE programming since last seen in August

UFC 205 at Madison Square Garden was a milestone event in the MMA promotion’s history. The show concluded with Connor McGregor creating history by becoming the first ever dual champion in UFC history. A whole list of celebrities flocked the iconic arena on a momentous night and one familiar face was seen in the attendance at the world’s most famous arena to witness history. WWE superstar and Vice President of Talent and Live events, Triple H was spotted in the crowd at The Garden. Here is the picture of The Game taken by a fan who was at the venue:

Triple H has been conspicuous by his absence on WWE programming for the past three months. The King of Kings last made an appearance on live television, on August 29th edition of Monday Night RAW, when he interfered in the Universal Championship fatal four-way match attacking Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins and assisting Kevin Owens to capture the WWE Universal Championship.

No details have emerged yet pertaining to the possible reasons behind Triple H’s presence at the UFC pay-per-view and we will keep you updated regarding the same. However, it won’t stop the rampant speculations. It is likely that Triple H might have just attended the show as he happens to reside in the Big Apple and he wouldn’t have wanted to miss the event that set the gate record for a show in the arena’s history. Triple H is not a stranger to Madison Square Garden as he has been involved in some of the most memorable matches and moments at the ‘mecca of sports entertainment’.

Connor McGregor and Ronda Rousey
Have the negotiations started between the UFC and WWE?

It was noted a few weeks ago by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the WWE was looking to bring in top UFC stars during the Wrestlemania season, in particular for Wrestlemania 33 at Orlando, and one of the popular names that were brought up during the discussion was that of The Notorious One, who headlined last night’s pay-per-view. Other names that were thrown around were of Ronda Rousey and Paige VanZant.

Recently, WWE superstar Brock Lesnar competed and won at UFC 200 and it was reported that the WWE is expecting a reciprocative action on the part of the Ultimate Fighting Championship by allowing several of its top names to be present at next year’s Wrestlemania. There is a possibility that Triple H was backstage representing the WWE to initiate talks with UFC President Dana White with regards to potential future appearances by the promotion’s biggest stars for WWE’s biggest show of the year.
